Goals of Service Learning
● Motivate students to develop ongoing relationships with people of all ages and ethnicities.
● Connect learning to community problem solving.
● Foster collaborative relationships to solve needs.
Requirements for Middle Division Students
Students in grades seven and eight participate in service learning activities as directed by their advisory teacher. Additionally, seventh and eighth graders are required to participate in SEE periods unless excused by the administration.
All MD students in grades five through eight are eligible to participate in a variety of MD Service Learning Club activities throughout the school year.
