Summer
Students perform optional volunteer service of their choice at various community non-profit organizations.

September 5, 3:30-4:00 (MD Bible Land)
MD SL Club meets to pack backpacks for Pre-K class at Andrew Johnson Elementary School in The Village. September 21- National Day of Peace
Father Youmans speaks about the "wind of peace." Students participate in peace activities in classrooms and the "Pinwheels for Peace Celebration" on the lawn in front of St. Edwards Chapel.

October 3, 3:30-4:05 approx. MD SL Club goes on field trip to serve as reading mentors to Pre-K students at Andrew Johnson Elementary School in The Village. October 19 In-House SEE period for grades 7 & 8 (as determined by team leaders) Students Against Hunger- Casady Cans Do
MD student volunteers dress as cans to motivate students to bring donations.  
Father Youmans and prefects count cans for the competition between houses.

November 2, 9:30-11:05 approx.
SEE Period for grades 7 & 8

November 7, 3:30-4:00 (MD Bible Land)
Students write letters to be placed in care packages by the Blue Star Mothers of Edmond.
These packages are sent to deployed active service members for the holidays. Students also make Christmas cards to distribute to seniors during December caroling field trip.

December 5, 3:30-4:05 approx. MD SL Club takes a field trip to sing carols to seniors at elderly facilities in The Village.

January 9, 3:30-4:05 approx. MD SL Club takes a field trip to Andrew Johnson Elementary School in The Village. Students serve as reading mentors to the Pre-K class. January 21, 1:15-4:00 MLK Day, National Day of Service
MD student and family volunteering at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

February 6, 3:30-4:00 (MD Bible Land) Students make Valentine's Day cards for the elderly in nursing homes in The Village.

March
Date TBD Andrew Johnson Fundraising Carnival March 6, 3:30-4:05 approx. MD SL Club takes field trip to Andrew Johnson Elementary School in The Village. Students serve as reading mentors to the Pre-K students.

April 3, 3:30-4:05 approx. MD SL make cards for Pre-K mentees at Andrew Johnson Elementary School.
*April 30: Service Hours due in hard copy form to Ms. O’Melia May 6, 3:30-4:05 approx. MD SL Club takes a field trip to Andrew Johnson Elementary School to serve as reading mentors to the Pre-K class. Students give their mentees a letter or card as a culminating experience.
